Update 2023-03-06 Today I received an invoice for a domain renewal, despite the promise from the above mentioned person of a year free with a domain transfer. According to their customer service, I have to pay if I want to keep my domain. Unfortunately it seems like they make promises they can't keep.
Reply to myself 2023-03-08. I was contacted by Lina who admitted their mistake and they actually gave me a full refund for the paid invoice regarding our domain.

We have been with Stablehost for over 7 years and are happy with their support and services. Any time we have had an issue their chat service has been fast and responsive. If it was a complicated issue and need to be elevated, they were always able to solve it eventually. We haven't had any issues from there side with our hosting. Dealt with Vasil today, he did a great job in resolving my problem quickly. The issue was on my end with my router, not their fault at all. I've always had good and quick service from their support team.
Been using them for more than 5 years. They went from being the fastest thing to slouch-level host. I even asked them to move my account to a different server twice, but there was not difference. I was recommending them left and right, but can't do that any longer. I'm currently debating if it's worth waiting for my current billing period to end before moving to another host. I'm using the account to host non-public WordPress demo sites for my customers for feedback, before deploying the final sites on their servers, so there's no real traffic (no more than a few visits per day). I now have to give my customers a disclaimer that their final site will not be that slow, it's just my broken demo host that sucks.
Support is great if you have the usual trouble. For some reason in the last half year I am getting locked out of my cpanel and can't even access the site via ssh. My IP gets blacklisted somewhere for some obscure reason I don't understand. The support reps were not able to help me (they cannot find any blacklisting, and "all is well"), so I need to reset my internet connection (this process assigns me a new IP address) to access my account. From their point of view it's not really a problem that I cannot access the service I paid for. "It works from our side" - of course it does, it's not them being blacklisted.
I gave them 2 stars for Features just because there is no "Performance" metric. Their feature set is actually what you'd expect from a Cpanel hosting.
