I spoke with Winn, a Blue Host agent today 01/21/23 and he was EXCELLENT! Extremely knowledgeable, and patient and I genuinely got a sense that he wanted to help resolve my issue. I was so impressed that I asked if I could commend him to a supervisor/manager because I wanted to let them know that he is a rare gem, a rare commodity in this day and age. Thank you Winn for restoring my faith a little in US companies, most of them are very poorly managed and they usually don't give a damn! You are a treasure and I really hope your company values you enough to pay you a decent salary.
Blue host is a worst and overrated hosting service. Their servers are compromised and full of viruses. Their Support agents are lazy and they don't bother to reply on time. It takes 10-15 minutes in getting reply for a single message. Their Wordpress Staging Plugin is full of bugs. If you create a staging site, it will break your main website. In fact during staging creation, main website database tables were deleted by Staging plugin. Their supporters operators are dumb and they don't have much knowledge about Server processes. My website was broken due to their buggy Staging tool. I requested their support operator to restore a website back and he was moving me around other things like file manager, .htaccess file etc.
THEY ARE THE WORST SERVICE YOU CAN FIND, IF YOU WANT TO LOOSE BUSINESS AND WASTE HOURS ON CALL WITH NO RESOLUTION, SIGN UP WITH THEM. THEY DONT HAVE A IDEA WHAT GOING ON, they will email you for account deletion and when you contact them on chat or call they will tell you everything is fine and working and you dont need to worry about it. Next what will happen is that bluehost will shutdown your account, you will loose your domain names, business, and then they will ask you for more money. Their staff is all INDIAN with pseudonyms, they will scam you and rip you off. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY
Bluehost is the worst hosting I've seen in my life, I paid for three years, used it for 6 months, the site went down and they couldn't restore it. They can't solve the problem, they don't refund the money. Hey Bluehost, what's the deal with your terrible customer service? I registered my domain and bought hosting on April 16, 2023, and now it's been two freaking weeks, and my account is still blocked because it's "under verification." Every time I contact your consultants, they give me the same response that it will be resolved within 24 hours, but nobody bothers to follow up with me.
In one of our conversations, I was told there was an error on my account and that it was deleted, and my money would be refunded, but guess what? Still no refund! And to add insult to injury, on April 22, 2023, I was asked to send my ID for verification, which I did, but nobody has bothered to confirm whether my account has been verified or not.
You call yourselves a professional hosting provider, but honestly, your service sucks! This is unacceptable, and I demand that you fix this issue immediately and provide me with a clear timeline for when my account will be unblocked and my refund will be processed. Tech support is absolutely terrible, we've been trying to fix an issue with the hosting for over a week, we keep getting sent to a call center in the Philippines where we simply get bounced around with no resolution what so ever . I strongly suggest finding a service provider with US customer service or at least in LATAM.
SCAM...Unable to cancel plans, and will keep charging you fees for years!
Bluehost is a scam. I only used them for a short time, for a temporary website. When I tried to cancel, I was ignored, and the recurring payments kept being charged to my credit card. When you call the phone number, the automated service says to enter a code that's been sent to your email (which 2 years ago when I tried cancelling the first time, didn't work at all, and the emails never came through). There was no other phone number and no other way to get through to a human. I had to go through my CC and ask them to block the charges, since Bluehost was impossible to actually get ahold of. MONTHS later, after being charged yet again for several. months, I somehow was able to finally get ahold of a human (I can't remember who ended up giving me the "secret" phone number). The lady said that it was their policy to only refund the last 90 days, so they wouldn't refund ALL of the MANY months that they'd overcharged me. She claimed to have made sure that my account was completely cancelled (even though I had already tried to do that over a year before). Guess what?! My CC was just charged yet again for $59...over a full year since the last mentioned "cancelling/refunding". I called my CC company, and they said that even though I have a new CC since this all happened (fraud last fall), Bluehost had requested to "Push Through" the charge, which I guess something that Visa and Mastercard are allowing! Before I called her, I had tried to call the Bluehost phone number yet again, and this time the email actually did come through with a 6 digit "code", but when I entered it on the phone like the automated voice said to, it didn't work and it just kept repeating to "enter the number". The lady at my CC company said that all of these tactics are very popular with shady companies, even big decently well known ones! DO NOT get roped into Bluehost, as it's 100% IMPOSSIBLE TO CANCEL YOUR SERVICE OR GET REFUNDS LATER. And you will be wasting MANY HOURS of time trying to deal with it later...like I still am 3 YEARS LATER!
